Atlanta Urgent Care
Call 911 or go to the hospital immediately in case you have a life threatening medical emergency.
Please notice that we provide care for non-life threatening illnesses and injuries.
What is the nature of this service?
Urgent care clinics provide walk-in assistance to treat illnesses and minor injuries, outside of an emergency room (ER). If you require urgent assistance that cannot wait to see a primary care physician, but is not serious enough to be treated in the ER, then an urgent care clinic is your point of call. At an urgent care clinic, your wait times and fees should be lower than at the ER.
Below is an example of some of the services provided in a typical urgent care clinic.
- Physical examinations
- Repairing lacerations
- Treating various sprains and strains
- Cold and flue treatment
- In-house lab tests
When you should visit an urgent care clinic.
Most injuries and illness that cause patients to visit the ER, can be treated at an urgent care clinic instead. An important distinction is whether the patient’s injury or illness is life-threatening. If you are not in immediate danger, then consider visiting an urgent care clinic.
When should visit the Emergency Room.
If you or your loved one is suffering from a life-threatening illness, condition, or have been in a severe accident, please visit the ER. For example, if you are having a serious allergic reaction, have been involved in a severe motor vehicle accident, or you are having chest pains and/or an irregular heart beat, then you should call 911 or visit your nearest ER immediately.
