Drug and Alcohol Screening
We perform most types of drug testing including the following.
- chain of Custody
- rapid 5-Panel
At the Buckhead Primary Care Clinic, we perform most types of drug and alcohol screens, including the Rapid-5 panel.
Rapid-5 Panel
A rapid-5 panel is a quick-result drug test for customers who are pressed for time. On average, the results should be ready within one hour, though this time can vary. It will take longer if the sample needs to be sent to an external facility for additional diagnostic testing. The Rapid-5 panel can detect the following substances:
- marijuana
- cocaine
- opiates
- amphetamines (including Methamphetamine)
- phencyclidine (PCP)
Chain of Custody
All drug testing is performed under a chain of custody. This means that we document the chronological order of all events from obtaining the sample and analyzing its contents, to its disposal. This procedure ensures that any reported results can be undoubtedly associated with a specific patient. This is particularly important if the drug testing is part of a legal procedure.
